Ian Fleming was an English journalist and author who is best known for his series featuring the daring spy James Bond. Fleming's background of working for the British Naval Intelligence Division during World War II is believed to have provided him with the detail behind the James Bond novels. His most notable books are the James Bond series, as well as his children's book entitled Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang.
