Item #375704
A legendary rarity in the Bond bibliographic pantheon: a first edition copy of The Man with the Golden Gun in the scarce first state boards with the titular weapon embossed in gilt on the front; the design was quickly abandoned after the cost of including such a large area of gold on the entire edition was determined to be prohibitive, thus only a very small number of copies — said to be 1% — were produced in this manner. Paired here with its original, fine, unrestored first state dust jacket (18s on the front flap). A stunning piece of Bond-iana.
