Ink notation concerning first edition on title, else very good. Provenance: John Carter Brown (armorial bookplate, with deaccessioned stamp on the bookplate and ink stamp on verso of title). Choiseul's narrative and commentary with the state diplomatic correspondence and papers relating to the treaty of 1762, dealing primarily with the areas of the cession of Canada, the fisheries of Newfoundland, Cape Breton and the West Indies and the limitation of Louisiana. Sometimes attributed to Jean François de Bastide. The London edition is considerably more scarce than the French first edition published the same year.
