The Amusements of a Fortnight ... Translated from the Unpublished Ms. by Constance Garnett. With a Critical Appreciations by Prof. Saintsbury.

New Orleans: n.p, 1943.

106 pp. Mimeograph of a typed manuscript. Small 4to. Unrecorded. String-bound card wrappers. Some chipping to wrappers, a few spots of soiling Item #311050

An unrecorded item, authorship unknown. The spurious association of Constance Garnett (as translator) and George Saintsbury (whose name is applied to the end of the introduction dated 1927) with this volume is an amusing provocation, as is the publisher's note found on p 6: "This book has been printed in so small a format to make it easy to hold it in one hand. Need we say more?" Fourteen stories plus the preface.
