The first confirming François Condamine, “La Violette”'s right to a place at Hôtel des Invalides. The second to the Marquis de Leval, his predecessor at the regiment. The last piece certifies DelaRoche's qualification for acceptance at Hôtel des Invalides. Surville, a notable military man who became a Lieutenant General in 1708 saw action at the Sieges of Landau and Lille, at the Battles of Spire and Tournay to name a few.
