Inscribed by the Club president Clifford K. Berryman with a sketch of a Teddy Bear on page 6. Berryman was a Pulitzer-prize winning Washington Post and Washington Star political cartoonist whose 1902 cartoon of Teddy Roosevelt refusing to shoot a bear cub inspired the creation of the toy "teddy bear."
