Thanking Humphreys for the invitation to the Writers Conference but that she'll be going to the country when she returns from Boston. The second letter concerns his invitation to teach, stating that she was not teaching just then “beacuase of a book of Curt's (England)––(non-fiction), and I'm working hard at one. Recently I've taught where I can also do, or mainly do, a literature course: I'm less interested in the workshop courses”.
