Original marbled boards, black cloth spine with black paper label on upper cover. Bookplate of Birdsall Otis Edey, of Bellport, Long Island. Edges and extremities rubbed, inner hinges cracked as usual (front hinge repaired), overall a very good copy; both the regular and deluxe editions are notably fragile. Siegel 9; Frazier L-7-D.

A collection of poems on various subjects, one of the early poetry books of the Derrydale Press.

Here inscribed by the author, “To Birdsall Otis Edey, Poet, playmate and the best of friends, Anne Lloyd Dec. 15th, 1928.” The recipient, who summered in Bellport, Long Island, was an organizer and early president of the Girl Scouts of America, an acitivist for women’s suffrage, and an author.
