Item #39499

Cain writing of his current work "a child's book, a rewrite, for young consumption of one I ran across, that I never sent to the agent, about a child, a young girl, who was given a baby tiger to raise...tigers are a passion with me" and thanking Miss Adams for the clip. The second letter thanks her for the clip where she mentions the children's book noting that it was not yet sold, the agent having had it only a week. In both he mentions her Jolie Gabor book and how it's frequently borrowed. His childrens' book may not have been picked up as we are unable to locate a publication record for it.
