Founded 1942 as Montagnes Marocaines, this is the first number with the new title, La Montagne Marocaine. The contents of this special issue on the Atlas Mountains are a mix of articles on mountaineering and skiing, and the history, natural history, and tourism of the region. Very much a production in the immediate aftermath of the war, with editorial mention of the scarcity of paper and the small print run; and other articles mention the re-emergence of mountaineering and the newly re-organized postwar world.
Editor Théophile Jean Delaye (1896-1970) was a geographer, artist, and topographer for the French Service géographique de l'armée, and a member of the Société de géographie du Maroc (an ad for the society give the same address as for the editorial offices of La Montagne Marocaine)

RARE. The BnF holds several issues of the journal; CCFr adds Grenoble; and OCLC adds one location.
