The work was subsequently issued in octavo, with the quarto edition being considerably more rare and desirable. "Cayley made valuable additions to the knowledge concerning Raleigh which Oldys had gathered. He brought to light several new and valuable documents, which threw additional light upon his subject" (Winsor). Scarce.
