A desirable copy of Dickens' last book. Originally intended to be issued in twelve parts, starting April 1870, the serialization was interrupted after the sixth installment by Dickens' untimely death on June 9, 1870. This first edition of Drood in book form was released on August 31, 1870, with all known first issue points present.
