The prefatory text is in Roman type, with the remainder (including the ordering and consecration of deacons, priests, and bishops) primarily black letter, all two column and hand-ruled in red throughout. The Kalendar is printed in both red and black. At rear are the two new prayers added after the English Restoration: the first dedicated to the late King Charles I, memorializing the date of his 1649 execution and martyrdom, followed by a Prayer of Thanksgiving to mark the May birthday of his son and heir, King Charles II.

The ownership signature of Robert Parnell appears on the title page, along with an additional dated inscription ("1731:RP") at the top of the final printed page. His name is also present in the inscription at rear, which records the birth and christening of Priscilla Allett Bax, daughter of Curling and Ann Bax, in Genoa on March 18, 1735; Parnell was one of the two named witnesses. A later 1742 inscription to David Stapleton the 4th — also associated with Genoa — appears at front, and another undated ownership signature, that of Ann Fleming, appears near the top of A2, though her connection to the others, if at all existent, is unknown.
