Bound in full burgundy morocco, upper cover with triple fillet gilt rules about green inlaid borders surrounding a central device of a gilt leafy rosebush with six roses and four rose buds inlaid in citron morocco, spine gilt with leaves and seven inlaid roses and buds, lower board with central roundel, a green ring and with a single rose and four buds in a spray of leafy vines, turn-ins gilt, green moiré silk doublures, a.e.g. with fore-edge painting under gilt by Fazakerely, Liverpool.
