A charming album chronicling two deer hunting trips outfitted by Paradise Fish and Game Club in New Brunswick, with Evan G. Ross as Guide for both. The owner of the album is presumed to be Ken Davis, as indicated in an article included at the back of the album written by Florence E. Davis for Harding's Magazine titled 'Buck Fever.' Florence - or "Flo" as Ken lovingly refers to her in the album's captions - shot her first buck on the mixed party trip to Sisson Lake Camp in 1939, a year after Ken's first successful hunting trip with Evan Ross. "While we have enjoyed many fine hunting experiences since, this trip will always have a particular significance in that it established beyond any question of doubt that there was a mutual love for the outdoors. No man could have a finer hunting partner."

Many of the photographs contain cheeky captions - "Watchful Waiting!!! Can't You Smell That Sizzling Bacon? Pretty Pleased Aren't They? Happy Mom? - with two achieving magazine publication in 1940, the first in Field & Stream and the second in Hunting and Fishing.

An attractive record of two hunting trips in the storied Canadian wildnerness.
