First edition. Illus. 215pp. 16mo. Blue cloth, spine stamped in gilt. Owner's contemporary ink name on second front flyleaf: "Lizzie H. Parrott." Spine is slightly askew, cloth is lightly frayed at tips of spine, tip of one corner bumped, with light wear to cloth, one page of text is creased at lower edge, else a very good copy. BAL 168; issued as the first volume in the 'Aunt Jo's Scrap-Bag' series.
