Owner's contemporary five-line ink inscription on front flyleaf (dated in December of 1872, a few dates after date of publication). Cloth is lightly dust soiled, with slight fraying at tips of spine, front cover has short tear (at lower edge of joint near spine), few signatures of text slightly sprung, else a good to very good copy.
