Warren writes to Eleanor Copenhaver Anderson, Sherwood Anderson's widow, about his progress and intentions, acting in an informal capacity helping place Anderson's papers at the Library of Congress. He relays the words of Luther Evans, Librarian of Congress: "our honor for the Sherwood Anderson papers is as high as heretofore, as is, also, our interest in their ultimate preservation and use." The papers eventually went to the Newberry Library in Chicago.
