This article was published in the March 1925 issue of Outdoor America. In addition to the photographs, a copy of the magazine is included here. Zane Grey (1875-1939), studied to be a dentist, but abandoned his practice at age 29 to devote himself to writing. Among his most popular novels, dealing mostly with the American West, are the ever-popular Riders of the Purple Sage, and the Lone Star Ranger; a number of his books were made into films. Grey was also an avid big game fisherman and writer: his books include Tales of Angling in Southern Waters, Tales of Deep Water Fishing, and Tales of Swordfish and Tuna.
