Ken Callahan, in his bibliography, comments that this book "Gives a very good account of the excitement of tarpon fishing. Certainly the most attractive tarpon book, both in typography, design and particularly fine binding by The French Binders, formerly binders for the Grolier Club. ... A rare and handsome book."
