Internship Position for James Cummins Bookseller / Fine Arts

James Cummins Bookseller / Fine Arts, seeks an energetic individual interested in learning both the rare book and art world in a hands on manner. The position will be exposed to the full range of activities in books and manuscripts, including; sporting, travel and exploration, literature and modern firsts, natural history and color-plate, maps and atlases and printed and manuscript Americana. James Cummins Fine Arts also holds several exhibitions a year ranging from photography to 19th & 20th century illustration. Responsibilities include research, administrative duties, exhibition setup, social media content creation and scheduling, cataloguing, catalog proofing, helping customers, sorting stock, etc... As openings and exhibitions approach, you will help orchestrating them to run smoothly. The internship will provide you with a dynamic view into the entire book and art gallery field. The internship is unpaid but will include a travel and lunch stipend.
