Alan Alexander Milne was an English author most noted for his children's books about Winnie-the-Pooh. Before the success of Winnie-the-Pooh, Milne was primarily a playwright, but those works were overshadowed. In addition to his stories primarily centered around Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends, Milne wrote poetry collections for children entitled When We Were Very Young and Now We Are Six, which do include stories about that silly ol' bear.
