Interesting item of Arab American ephemera from the days of “Little Syria” on New York’s Lower West Side.
The verso of the card described the firm of Daniel Joseph Faour and Brothers as “associates of the Bank of Syria in the United States” competent to issue certificates of insurance in all areas, especially Syria, and to exchange French and English currency. In 1917, Faour and Brothers registered a move from 63 Washington to a different building on the same street.
