"FOR PRESENTATION TO FRIENDS" OF THE PUBLISHER. Bound in contemporary full brown morocco ("Bound by Macdonalds" stamped in gilt on rear pastedown, and with "E. P. Dutton & Co., N.Y." stamped in gilt on front pastedown), single gilt rule on front and rear covers, author and title stamped in gilt on spine, with double gilt rule, and two corner fleuron devices in gilt, on front and rear turns (on pastedowns), t.e.g. .Owner's large, attractive pictorial bookplate on front pastedown, and neat ink signature on second (blank) front flyleaf ("John Stanton, Jr. 1916"). Light rubbing at extremities of spine and tips of two corners, front hinge a bit tender (slightly over-opened), else a near fine, bright copy. Hatch 710; Wade 12; the entire "Privately Printed" edition was limited to only 32 numbered copies.
