PRINTED ON VELLUM, on one side of the leaf only. W. K. BIXBY'S COPY with his bookplate. Engraved decorated title and plate by M. & W. Bicknell, SIGNED BY BICKNELL in pencil. In Bixby's “Privately Printed Books” this volume is described as being printed on roman parchment, of which 10 copies were for Mr.Bixby. The Thoreau manuscript was in the collection of W. K. Bixby and he had arranged this publication.
