Inscribed by Levine on half-title. With a card laid in with Zenzinov's address in NYC saying he is down on his luck

Zenzinov was born in Moscow in 1880, was part of the 1905 uprising as part of the Socialist-Revolutionary Party, arrested on Bloody Sunday and was dispatched without trial to Eastern Siberia for 5 years, but escaped in Archangel. Again caught in 1906 and again escaped in the Ohhotsk Sea and went to Paris. In May, 1910 he again was caught and sent to Siberia. Hence the story.
