An interesting scrapbook, annotated on front flyleaf: “Helen W. Avery / 19 Chester Park / Sketches from Nature”. A few of the drawings show buildings, but most depict the beauties of the landscape--mountains, lakes, woods, falls, a few distant villages. All are identified as to place, and four of them include the state (New Hampshire); dated views range from 1868 to 1872.
