Mitchell Kennerley's pirated edition of Shaw's article, covering the George Carpentier-Joe Beckett prizefight of 1919. According to the Sale Catalogue of the American Art Association (Kennerley's auction house) of 24 April, 1930, "less than 150 copies were printed." Laurence quotes Shaw's sardonic remark on the Kennerley's piracy: "It is like his check; but he did not go so far as to thrust his crime on my notice by sending me a copy."
