An editorial note in this copy reads as follows: “In the New Haven Company that set out for Cambridge on the 20th of April, 1775, were Mr. Earl, a portrait-painter, and Amos Doolittle, an engraver. Mr. Earl made four drawings of Lexington and Concord, which were afterwards engraved by Mr. Doolittle.
