Item #365417

The beautifully bound deluxe issue of this facsimile of the collection of autograph poems written in the “Little Book” by friends of Edward Marsh, editor of Georgian Poetry, including many notables from Rupert Brooke, James Elroy Flecker, Thomas Hardy, Siegfried Sassoon, and W.B. Yeats to the Emir Feisal and T.E. Lawrence.
The original notebook was given to Marsh in 1911 by Lady Diana Manners (later Cooper) and is now at Eton College Library. Her son John Julius Norwich relates the touching story in his introduction. Michael Meredith, librarian of Eton, provides notes on the contributors, who form a Who’s Who of early twentieth-century English poetry.
