Item #354323

An appealing stereocard image, showing several long stretches of railroad track heading into the small town of Ogden, Utah. It is a view of an important point crossing point in American railroad history, as Ogden is the point at which the Union Pacific Railroad ends and the Central Pacific begins. A train can be seen on the tracks in the far distance, as well as a few clapboard buildings. The New York photographic firm of E. & H.T. Anthony & Co., produced several stereoscopic views for the Central Pacific Railroad, though few are known today. A nice image of an important railroad intersection.
