Harry Jay Moors (1854-1926) was an American trader in the South Seas and resident in Samoa for forty-five years. He was an intimate friend of Stevenson, and the Stevensons lived at "Pineapple House", which Moors built for his use until Vailama was finished in April 1891. He wrote the memoir With Stevenson in Samoa (Boston: Small, Maynard & Company, 1910).

Check printed by Turner and Henderson, Sydney, probably made during his 1890 or 1891 trips there.
