Louis Raemaekers (1869-1956), was born and lived in Holland, thus ostensibly remaining neutral in World War I; he was anything but. These volumes of savage cartoons and drawings, excoriating the Hun, amply testify to his place at the side of the Allies, and caused him great difficulties from Germany, notwithstanding his country's neutrality. The first two volumes deal with the early years of the war, the third covers the final phase, from the entry of America to the conclusion of peace. The three are simply and beautifully bound, and are in fine condition. AN IMPRESSIVE SET.
