Abbott writes to Edna Bennett, sending seasons greetings and always suggesting that Bennett come to visit her in Maine, and to bring a copy of Abbott's book Greenwich Village: Today and Yesterday (Harper & Brothers, 1949), but Bennett cannot find an affordable copy. Edna Bennett (1910-1981) was a Long Island-based nature photographer and writer.
