Ameru-iva-=can edition limited to 2600 This is the American edition printed in a limited number of 2,600, it is a monograph that was originally published as the Wasmuth Portfolio (1910) in Germany that had a profound effect on architecture in both Europe and America. This is an amazing record of plans for buildings by one of the 20th centuries most famous architects - some of which were completed and some never to be built. (This American edition was printed to replace the 500 original copies of the German edition that burned in the Taliesin House fire.) This copy is NO. 101 E. The portfolio is complete and is in excellent condition, the portfolio cover has minor shelf ware. First published in Berlin in 1910-1 as Ausgefuehrte Bauten und Entwuerfe. A portion of that edition was slated for American distribution, but all but one of those copies were destroyed by a fire at Taliesen in 1912. From that one copy the present edition was reproduced, in accordance with Wright's wishes.
