Nice copy of this early work by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, issued in a very small limitation, 170 copies for the publisher and 50 copies for the author. A heavy-handed copy editor altered the text on route to the printer, a fact which Garcia-Marquez only noticed a year later; it was corrected in the second edition (1966), but may account for the fact that this presentation edition doesn't often turn up; we've only heard of a handful other copies of this ever passing through the trade.
