Jack B. Yeats (b.1871 - d.1957) was an Irish artist primarily associated with Expressionism and Symbolism, though here is a fine example of his early work and collaboration with another distinguished artist, Pamela Colman Smith. Smith (b.1878 - d.1951), who is most well known for her artwork on fellow Golden Dawn member Arthur E. Waite's Tarot deck. Here, Yeat's illustrations have been brilliantly hand-colored by Pamela Colman Smith in the style of her 1903 13 issue magazine, The Green Sheaf.
