Ernest Dawson (b.1882 - d.1947) was an antiquarian bookseller and founder of Los Angeles' legendary Dawson's Book Shop. Edwin Markham (b.1852 - d.1940) was a poet and was Poet Laureate of Oregon from 1923-1931, as well as an avid book collector.
