Rare. Spanish translation of the French sovereigns' “Exposé des Motifs de la conduite du Roi, relativement à l'Angleterre” published the same year. The French pamphlet was a reply to charges made by the British that the French had been helping the Americans in the war. To the French pamphlet Edward Gibbon wrote “Memoire Justificatif pour Servir de Réponse à l'Exposé”.
