Scarce account in verse of the Dartmoor Massacre in which American prisoners (captured American seamen) in a British jail were attacked by their captors at the end of the War of 1812. A caption title above the first stanza reads: "Transposed in Verse from the New-York Commercial Advertiser of the 6th June last, and the Boston papers of the same month."
