The appendix to a memorial (not present) presented to the House Committee on the Public Lands requesting that the association formed by Chazotte be allowed to purchase land in the Key Largo area for the purpose of cultivating coffee, cocoa and tropical fruits. The Appendix with its own caption title was first published separately in Philadelphia in 1821.
