A nice, unrestored, copy of the third Bond novel, with a great dinner scene that belies the later movie myth that Bond was just a martini man. Noel Coward read the proofs in Jamaica and called it "the best thing he has done yet, very exciting... His obesrvation is extraordinary and his talent for description vivid' (Lycett, 253-4, 269).
