First edition. With 13 hand colored plates and 69 wood engravings, by John Leech. 1 vols. 8vo. Original brick red cloth with gilt vignette of cupid dressed as a huntsman on front cover and spine. Bookplate of Thomas Stuart Kennedy on pastedown. Spine ends and corners bumped, spine a little faded, front hinge repaired, bookplate removed from front free endpaper, some minor spotting in text, but otherwise a good copy in quarter morocco slipcase (slightly rubbed) and chemise.
