"... As you probably know, several State Commissions have attempted during the past twenty years to study the cost of distributing milk. It is true that we are in a more fortunate position at the present time in that our various research agencies have gathered considerable additional data having to do with this problem. I am referring your letter to Henry Morgenthau, Jr., Chairman of my Agricultural Advisory COmmittee. I presume that this Committee will want to discuss this along with the entire problem of the cost of distributing farm products at some of theior subsequent meetings ..."
