An Important Early History of Tennessee. Contemporary tree calf, red morocco spine label, worn at joints and extremities. Owner's early ink signatures and inscriptions dated 1845. Lacks front flyleaf, front hinge started and front cover sprung (but binding is very tight), half-title page (the "Copy Right Secured" leaf) is creased and partially detached, text is moderately foxed, with two-inch tear at top edge of rear flyleaf, else a very good copy.
