An early American edition of the first magic book published in the United States, first publlished by Carey in 1795. The work, often attributed to Dean was originally published in England in 1722.

The frontispiece depicts a conjuror firing a pistol and pinning a playing card to the wall. Same typesetting as the 1833 New York edition, with a reset title including Perry's Philadelphia inprint.
