Nice copy of this excellent collection of ghost stories, prompted by editor’s 1987 lecture on M.R. James and J. Pierpont Morgan’s manuscripts.
This copy with two varieties of the printed prospectus for the book, a signed note from the printer, and a typed letter signed from contributor Richard B. Priest (whose Non Furtum Facies appears in the printed book), conveying a computer printout typescript of his “other ghost story … to make up for the one Belle Greene asked M. R. James to write for her and the Morgan Library”. The seven-page story is entitled “The Nagrom Library Ghost Story, or The Story of Two Appearances and ztwo Disappearances by Cecil R. Henry edited with noted by Eugene Deacon”.
