Daniel Garrison Brinton (1837-1899) was a polymath, surgeon, ethnologist, racial realist. This work was written in 15671 and finisheds in 1604 by the author's grandson, Francisco Rojas and is considered an important historical document on post-classic Maya civilization in the highlands of Guatemala.
