Carl Akeley's intent was to make available to the public a visual experience of Africa and the wildlife. He designed and created the sets to show their natural habitats and captured the animals to make the individual scenes which can be seen both at the Field Museum in Chicago and in the Akeley Hall in the Museum of Natural History. This volume records his last expedition.
