An interesting piece of space commemorative memorabilia from the first international partnership in space: the Apollo-Soyuz docking, which took place in July 1975. Designed to test the compatibility of rendezvous and docking systems and the possibility of an international space rescue, this joint mission brought together the USA and the Soviet Union in a major collaborative effort. The three American and two Russian cosmonauts spent two days carrying out five joint drills.
